You already know how important it is to teach your kids what to do if someone tries to break into their computer. Now, experts are encouraging parents to teach them how to protect themselves from cybercriminals trying to steal their data.
Cybersecurity was one of the top three issues discussed at two TEDx conferences in San Francisco and Cambridge, and the issue seems poised to be a hot topic in campaigns for both the presidential election and in people’s greater consciousness, education and awareness. To that end, there are many tools and learning programs for parents and kids to enjoy as well as teach them the basics of proper data-protection and cyberwaging skills.
Though parents and young people should take the lead in teaching themselves how to protect themselves from cybercrime, educational programs for children can have great benefit. If parents teach kids how to protect themselves, schools will see more students studying computer science in their courses.
Head over to learn how you can protect your kids online.
